Celluloid Experience in US.

Every friday we can see atleast a movie irrespective of language getting released in US.
There are umpteen numbers of cinema malls here in America but they don't run to full house as is the case in our country.I have seen very few movies both in english and tamil and to be specific only one in hindi. The first movie i watched was Resident Evil 3.
I havent seen the remaining parts of this sequel but one of my colleague who is a citizen here forced us to see this movie. The movie was OK with lots of scarelet murder happeing all thru the US by some virus that keeps spreading and the end comes through a women who acts as the guardian angel and save the world. Exactly dont know which theater was that but it was in DC.
The next one was the tamil movie and the first one , ATM. This was total crap and i dont want to critic or review this, because its not even worth doing. Followed by this I saw Tara Zammen Par, the movie which made all of us cry, actually Aamir has done some commendable acting and direction in this movie. This movie proved all the odds wrong especially in hindi cinema, where only the romantic comedy with lousy story line or movies with secret liasons were making profits. Again an another english movie which i cant remember the name which didnt impressed me so will go to the next in queue. I saw Dasavatharam with mom and Kuselan being the latest.
I liked both the films because i like both rajni and kamal. DAS- hats off to Balram Naidu no one could have doned this role as kamal, in short simply superb, thought it might have offended the guluti population, but people are nowdays broadminded to take these in lighter vein which is really appreciable. Kuselan liked the camera work by arvind krishna and the superstars costumes in cinema cinema song. Apart from watching these movies in theater i saw a few in internet by new budding directors. I should say tamil cinema is one step ahead compared to other lingustic films in India. I might be wrong too but with my limited knowledge i am just placing my point of view.
Quite a few films which i really liked are Chitram Pesudhadi by Myskin, Velli Thirai by Viji, Subramaiyapuram by SasiKumar. These guys have really done a good work in presenting cinema in a all together different perspective. These kind of directors should be encouraged and one good sign is audience are ready to appreciate these experimental works. So i feel that directors should come out of the monotous vicious film making and they should try new films and take Indian cinema to greater heights.

With the gold market plunging down, now we have got a gold in the olympics. Jokes apart kudos to Abhinav Bindra the over night star, till the day before he received the gold people in our country wouldn't have even known about this guy but things changed topsy turvy in a nite.
I felt really proud and happy to see our flag and national anthem in the olympic podium. This was one defining movement in the sportic histroy of India. I Appeal to fellow citizens to bring more laurels to our land.

Wishing you all a Happy Independence Day
Jai Hind.
